Lil B here. It's not such a sunny day down in my lethal legal sphere where daggers are hidden, looks are deceiving, words are bent to the untruth, and expressions can hardly be deciphered. You think your life is a funfair circus? Wait till you shake a hand with invisible needles, brittle piecemeal alliances, and unrepentant bitchings which threaten to ruin the one's reputation.

It's The Last Day!!!

Yay!!!!!

But it doesn't help that I suck in pool now. Just because I stopped playing for a year. Everything was wrong. My hands were sticky, I didn't use my elbow properly, I was too tall from the heels ["Debble, you need to bend lower... lower... Ok, it sounds WRONG... so I did not.]

Anyway, I realised that I'm quite emotionless these days.

What is the point of having emotions when you can laugh all day??

Yup. New Motto.

Yes, last day, I get to play more squash!!!

I'm better at squash compared to tennis. That's because I'm too effing blur for tennis still.

Need to  be more alert.

I realised something.

I never realised how fucking dodgy I was last time until I finally took a look at my facebook pictures.

Gosh.

I need to do something.

Minus Paris Hilton's virus, thank you.

I Got Caught

I woke up in the middle of the night only to find the lights in the hall were turned on.

Usually, all the lights are turned off except for the garage light.

So I decided to go out and take a look. Even the door to the dining room is opened!!

Oh well, must be the nocturnal mother/early bird father doing some stuff in the kitchen.

I wanted to go back to sleep really badly.

"DEBBLE!!!!! Is that you? Are you awake?"

I was forced to open the room door again. "Yea?"

"Wanna play tennis??"

I was trying so hard to avoid the topic of playing tennis; I have to wake up at 6 freaking a.m.!!!

"Me?? Tennis??" HAHAHA.

"I'm giving you no choice, you're coming to play with us. Wake your sister up now."

I happily went back to sleep. It's 6 freaking a.m. anyway. And it's a Sunday!!

Unfortunately, at 6.30 am, the dad's booming voice was at the door which woke my sister up and he ordained that I go too. And my sister slapped me on the arm; forcing me to go brush my teeth first. Gah. Why is it always me first? Just because she is freaking working doesn't mean that I'm not tired too. It's so much more tiring to study than to work!!

If I had not been such a nosey snooper, I wouldn't have been caught, I wouldn't have to go to play tennis and get tortured and torn away from my plushy bed.

And so we played. And I played quite well!! =D After not touching the racquet for like 5 years?? Yeah. But they were mostly parabolas since I usually don't do a full swing. [When I was a beginner, I had a history of hitting the ball over the fence and into the palace grounds when I did those horrible parabola full swings. The bad habit somehow stayed on.]

The highlight of the game was listening/watching those group of old people doing tai chee nearby. IT WAS HILARIOUS!!! They were doing slow motion tai chee to..... well, emo ballads. Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand. Not bad. Because I witnessed them fighting once because they complained that they cannot stand their boring instructor with their lame yi yi er er whatever shit chant that they usually do.

To my amazement, out of the blue, Flo Rida's Low started playing. And they actually 'danced' to it!!! HAH! It was hilarious crazy. They were like robotic cartoons dancing to the tunes with their lame almost-aerobic steps.

[I have a grudge against them because I used to hate their stupid yi yi er tape recording when I used to play tennis last time. I hear it every freaking morning and it is usually blaring in my ears!]

That was the game. After that, we went to church... and... I loved the singing, because I get to really strain my vocal cords!! But... I slept off during sermon.

"Debble, you were sound asleep as a bunny."

It was that bad. I really slept off for about 45 minutes. I usually still listen to the speaker but it's the usual, "in one ear and out the next" mode. But I'm still aware of what is being spoken. But I really slept off that morning. [To my amazement, the mother was happily laughing away and started teasing me for being lazy; sleeping in church just because I, for the first time actually went to play tennis in the morning.]

Oh well.

But that evening, was awesome. We went to this tennis shop in DU and it was brilliant!!! We bought a new pro racquet and re-stringed the other two. And the mom bought a squash racquet. Well, in some meagre effort to lose weight after the food binge spree that we had for the past few days [just because it was her birthday week].

I think I'm hooked to tennis now. But I'll probably steal the mommy's racquet to try out squash too!

Cheers.

I Walked Home

Well, people usually write about their lovely stories with the inspiration from Mandy Moore's "Walk Me Home" song but unfortunately, mine is I walked Home.

Sounds a bit ciplak (unoriginal) but yeah.

Because, really, I DID walk home.

That's the introduction.

Anyway, it's the sister's birthday today. Since she reads this blog, I am obliged to say:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

That's the little thrill for the sister.

Back to my story.

I ran the last 5 minutes just to catch the train. Only to find that I can't get my mom on the phone at all.

So, I figured that she is in the bank. I called the bank.

Yes, she was there. But the damn consultant doesn't wanna pass me to her.

She gave me the direct line to my mom's consultant.

But no, it wasn't ringing.

It just keeps showing for the life of me, "Network failed."

Bloody hell.

So, I had this brilliant idea. Why don't I go to the Klang station instead of the usual Padang Jawa station, and take a bus to the bank and surprise my mom??

[to the sister, YOU ARE NOT TELLING MOM THIS!! SHE THINKS THAT A FRIEND CHAUFFEURED ME HOME]

So I went to the bus station. Only to find a most havoc place worst than (insert a place) with people shouting on the loud speaker which bus has arrived and so on. It was like some mini pasar malam (night market) with fruit and vegetables sellers shouting for business.

I waited for the never coming bus for Bukit Raja. Finally, I decided to hop on the bus to Padang Jawa and wait obediently at the ktm station to wait for my mom to get me as if I just arrived by train.

To my amazement, the bus stops just right outside the adjacent housing area.

And so, I walked. Yup. Walked. 20 minutes before this to the train station, another 15 to the bus station. And now, 25 minutes to reach home.

Only to find that the mommy wasn't home. So, I squatted like some druggy under the tree for shade.

Then, I heard a lil beep. It was my mom's very cute car honk. Her eyes were bewildered to see me.

And then I started telling a very beautiful story of how such a great friend drop me home because she was on the way to pick her brother up from a nearby school.

I got away. Tee hee.

Just needed a lil bit of exploring rather than being cooped by the same old boring routine of waiting and fuming at the train station for my mom to pick up the phone and pick me up.

You know what? The new year is not settling/growing on me. It just doesn't feel like a new year. Sort of a drag on from last year.

Oh well.

Anyway,

Another shout out.

THANK YOU IKRAM AND ELISA!!!
For that spanking-awesome cocktail book that you got me for Christmas!!!
When we go to Reading, I promise you, I'll make a "virgin cocktail" for you both to drink; which has the same taste with the original cocktails, minus the alcohol.
At the mo, it's a lil hard to get certain stuff. Like pina colada juice (pineapple and coconut juice) and real cranberry juice.
p/s: I like the new Tort lecturer. He is crappy in the intellectual way. (I know that doesn't make sense) Oh, and I'm using this blog to "practise my writing skills". =D

I Almost Met with A Massive Accident

Seriously, I hate Malaysian drivers.

Ok, I admit that I have a tendency to accelerate but one has to or else get knocked at the back or get honked. (And I only go at about 80-100 on Federal)

So, today, after passing the Subang toll gate, I accelerated. Only to have this fucktarded (I'm sorry, I really have to curse here) grey Waja car swerved to my lane (the middle lane which is "supposedly" safe) just to overtake a lorry.

For goodness' sake, have a little patience!!! And look at your bloody side-mirror before you switch lanes!!! And you weren't even accelerating fast enough to cut into my lane!

Thank God my dad turned my steering (because I was half dazed - need to use my brains a little more in driving) and I swerved to the right lane and missed the grey Waja by mere inches and the Avanza car on the right lane behind me by mere inches.

And thank God I had the sense to switch my foot and step on the break and turn the steering wheel to the right and back before I hit the divider. I think the Avanza dude had to break very hard. Sorry, uncle, and thank you for breaking too.

I tell you that STUPID STUPID STUPID WAJA CAR!!!!! He had to recover in the middle lane behind me for a while before he went taking off at mad speed on the right lane again. I hope that whoever was in the car gave him a good slap on his face, and if they don't, I hope God will slap him for me. I'm seriously so damn mad with that IDIOT!!!

The Avanza uncle was so nice, he just gave me a light beep on the honk to tell me how dangerous I was. Which I knew that I was damn dangerous. But I'm so grateful for him for breaking.

I officially have a grudge against Waja car drivers. Seriously, just because you drive a much more expensive version of locally made cars doesn't mean that you're driving a ferrari and please come to your senses that you need to have patience in driving. I always follow the lorries for a while until I have the chance to switch lanes. Oh, and please bear in mind that you're actually driving a tin can too. Perodua drivers are wayyyyyyyy better than bloody Proton drivers. Especially Waja cars.

Dad was really scared because if we were to crash he will suffer the most damage. And I am thankful for his adrenaline and his alertness.

It's the second time I'm so damn bloody blur in my driving. I need to get my brains in.

I really thank God for protecting us.

Let me update a little of what has happened since this blog has been quite dead for a month and a half. I'll just put it in point form.

  1. I had this toe-cracking experience.

Basically, we were wearing formal wear (as in coat and all) and we girls were wearing heels. And we had to stand around from 9 am right until 7.30 pm. Ok, for me it was from 7 am since I had to commute via train to KLCC. It was for the International Moot competition and this LawAsia Conference. We got to see Badawi speak in real life. Leave me an offline note if you wanna bitch bout it. It was fun and full of experience as a whole though.

Oh, and the toes really threatened to crack because I escorted the mooting team which I was in charge with all the way to the Corus hotel. And we went on foot.

  2. I became Smeagol x 3.

Thanks to the mother who came back from London and forgot where she placed her rings; accusing me of misplacing them while I was keeping them for her all the time. It took me 3 1/2 weeks to find for those 3 bloody rings. And guess what? We found them in her pants pocket. JOY!

  3. I'm beginning to see the light.

OK, as in, almost dead and also, I am no longer that blur. Yes, I finally got a grip of my studies and I can actually concentrate and know what I'm doing. Tutorials are a great way to wake me up and slap me in the face on how little I know about my stuff. Although I have done A Levels, but that is immaterial because we have added elements (the ones A Levels omitted) and they are quite crucial in understanding the law.

  4. Tutorials sucks the life out of you.

I just had a whole full week of tutorials and my workload was basically piled up so high; it was as if I was drowning in a sea of books.

  5. University life is a world of difference from A Levels.

I thought that the transition from SPM to A Levels was a major change and given that A Levels is quite similar with university. Consequently, I thought there won't be much change. But I was obviously wrong.

University life is so much more hectic with so much of self-reading and understanding to do. We practically have to read all full cases on our own and make lots of case briefs. And we are told that in order to get a second upper we'll have to read at least 4-5 books. Such joy and bliss. A first class requires additional materials.

  6. Books.

Given that I need to read 4-5 books for each module and the books are thicker than dictionaries, I have been officially been pronounced a nerd without needing any certificate to proof it. I tried carrying 4 books yesterday but I gave up after 10 minutes. They weighed about 15 kgs there. Madness. My arms are sore.

  7. I pierced my ears!!!

Yes, finally after so long. The mom consented.

  8. I slept yesterday night immediately after dinner.

I was so tired from all the lack of sleep from the tutorial week.

  9. I have developed a serious speed reading skill.

I mean, we are in the university of reading... which really makes us read. I mean, Law for a fact. But I really like my university studies because it clears up so much of my misunderstandings and doubts from A levels. And I do plan to get a first class, if I can get as a consolation to my blow at dignity because of A levels.

  10. I love my class.

The people are totally not those sensitive kind and you can joke all that you want. Even at their expense! And my group of friends, (mixture of Malaysians, Singaporeans, Tanzanians and Kenyans) are just so awesome. Love them to bits! And the best part is everyone is not that naive to look at live so conventionally and be so blinded. And they all have a cynical point of view at the world of politics. Which is fun. At least rather than talking about myself we talk about politics; which is so much more fun!! I can finally lay low about my profile and choose to hold back.

Overall, my life is a mixture of hell and bliss. It's law afterall. What was I expecting??

Electrifying Dim Sum

I shall leave the blog looking pimped. Because a change is good.

I am now craving for sushi. Can you believe it?? Don't tell my sister that or she'll be mightily pleased with herself for converting me.

I am also craving for Spaghetti Scoglio from Spaghetti House.

And do you know what's the best part??

I've put on 3 kgs. Which is really bad!!! Thanks to the constant pigging out.

Today is no exception.

We decided to go for this Dim Sum since we accidentally found out that this place in Haymarket has a Dim Sum buffet.

And so we went for it today. It's at Electric Bird Cage.

I thought I liked the setting of the place. I was really blur. I only saw the bar which is rather unique with its half teak and half glass design.

So we went in and sat down. And when the waitress came only did I realise my surroundings.

The waitress was wearing this super short flare dress which looks almost like a swimsuit if not for the skirt. She might as well not wear anything at all.

And I looked behind my sister's face.

The ceiling was a very nice plaster ceiling with all the decorations and all. But the abominable thing is that it is painted in fuchsia.

And then I realised the tables are in turqoise colour. The walls are also turqoise.

And the sofa that I am sitting on can act as a mini sofa bed with all the bolster pillows behind. It's quite convenient to lean over and lie down.

OMG, it was like a brothel. Especially with the lighting which is like some curvy thingy.
[Edit : I just realised, it looks like the colours on my blog now. Oh well.]

And we ordered Classic Cosmopolitan. It's a cocktail btw. I am underaged and so my sis ordered lemonade for me. But the nice waitress said that she'll split the cocktail into two since it's quite a big glass. So, we both had cocktails for the price of one. And I'm not complaining. In fact, I am very happy!!!

No, I wasn't drunk after the drink. Because the alcohol content wasn't that high after all and I thought my own concoction for a cocktail tastes better. I had Baileys, Triple Sac and Apple & Elderflower. Or my sister's concoction of Cranberry juice, Vodka, Triple Sac and Lime. It's really easy to make a cocktail. Just mix whatever you want. And my concoction had more kick than the one they gave us. The bartender probably did it on purpose because he didn't want two drunk chics walking out of the bar & restaurant and get stopped by a boobie [that's what the policemen are called]; ending with him going to jail because he gave an underage a cocktail.

Despite of the setting, the Dim Sum was good!! So much better than the ones we have at home.

My sister and I found the setting rather funny though. Fancy the two of us sitting in such a restaurant and having a buffet dim sum. Imagine how my mom will react if she were to find out.

Oh, and we were the only girls besides that one waitress in the entire place. And it's a club during the night btw.

If parents were to think that the clubs back in KL are bad, well, think again. If one were to compare KL and London, the clubs in KL can only be compared to some scandalous high school gathering. It is seriously Wild over here.

Not to mention, there is a chance of meeting really weird people here.

On Saturday, after our walk at South Kensington; we reached our bus station pretty late. And this dude appeared out of thin air and kicked the rubbish behind us.

"Sorry, girls."

I briefly nodded out of courtesy.

"Don't be afraid of me."

We continued walking without really looking at him.

"Do you know where I can find back up??"

My sister, who was slightly ahead of me, turned around and I stopped.

That guy was a highschooler who is drunk, with soggy hair plastered on his head.

He thought we were some Mafia's daughter or we're in some Chinese society of gangsters.

Gosh, dude!!! We look more like nuns rather than a Mafia's daughter!!! We figured that he probably got into a fight in a bar and wants to find a back up to fight back.

Men and their ego. Ok, certain men.

Anyway, we decided to go for coffee at Covent Garden after Dim Sum and some shopping. So from Regent Street, we cut through Soho towards Covent.

Before this, we walked through the streets of Soho and I thought that it was quite an innocent place. All we saw were restaurants and bars with some scantily dressed people walking about.

This time, we walked through the REAL Soho street. We had to do a speed walk through a maze of half-dazed people whose eyes are clouded with lust. Well, we did it again. In Amsterdam, we went to the wrong flower market with the smell of heroin and marijuana rather than the famed floating flower market which sells tulip bulbs.

And we had our coffee at last at Covent Garden. The last time we went, we saw some tame drunk people singing about there.

I love Dark Mocha Frapuccino. It is simply awesome. Sister went for Venti Espresso. Oh, and the price difference from Tall to Grande to Venti is only 20p from each upgrade.

I absolutely love Zara and Hawes & Curtis over here.

The sales are ending soon. Sigh. And so is my stay at London.

I shall be flying home next Monday.

Library Makeshift

I find that I can only study in the library.

And so, turn my room into the library atmosphere I did.

I personalised the cow's working space into my own one.

The only difference with the library is that:

1. I have bleeding bright yellow lights instead of white ones.
2. My room doesn't smell like the library
3. I can control the temperature of my room
4. The bed is 5 feet away
5. My chair is more comfortable and it's yellow in colour as well. >.< [yes, my room is bleeding bright thanks to my mom and sis]
6. I don't have a cute lil pet of a cockroach running about and even visiting me on the table top.

Yup. I have evidence of the cockroach in the library. [I'll upload it later.]

You know what? I have a bleeding hatred for Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love.

Gosh, that song is seriously overrated.

I am currently totally in love with Paramore.

Swung back to rock from ballads again.

I really want the exams to end really soon.

But I need to study before it ends.

p/s: I don't think I am going to the prom.
And, you can download BBC's King Lear Audio from Ares. I'm downloading the movie too!!

I love P2P file sharing.

Whirlwind of Mad Adventures

I woke up with a terrible swirling headache. Again.

I couldn't walk straight.

I was rather groggy and grumpy.

And suddenly, my mom asked me if I wanna go to my very old elementary schoolmate's house today.

I was totally shocked. This is the first time my mom's actually letting me out on CNY!!!

So I got dressed, and did a zig-zag to the car.

Thank God I roughly remembered where her house is. We found it in a jiffy!!!

When I walked in the house, there was this "conference table-like" table with full of people sitting there.

With all of my ex-schoolmates and my juniors.

Yes, including Carol. I was bummed.

The house was so noisy, we can hardly hear each other. It was really really hard trying to pay attention to anyone at all.

And so we ate. At least I ate a lot.

The food was really good. It was awesomely glorious.

Then came the gambling. Not exactly gambling.

We were gambling with groundnuts.

We were there until 5 pm to wait for another friend before we headed to the next house; Carol's house.

Carol told us, while we were at Calesta's house that her dad does not allow gambling in the house.

And we all joke bout how we should play in the garden and offer the policemen groundnuts if they happen to pass by.

We watched Rush Hour 3 in Sze Lyn's car on the way to Carol's house. Kinda awesome. But it was a little too loud.

And we chatted and ate and chatted and ate some more.

And suddenly, Carol suggested that we play poker again.

This time, we used kuaci.

It was just damn crazy. There was this girl who was eating kuaci at the same time when we were playing poker.

We all had to beg Carol's younger sister for more kuacis. We all ran out because crazy people like Carol bet about 12 kuacis at one go.

It was pure fun until Carol's dad came home and walked into the dining hall.

His face was intensed and his eyes were huge with suppressed emotions.

The danger alarm went off and we all heartily chirped "Hello Uncle!!! Happy Chinese New Year!!!" to ease the tension a little.

And Carol turned around and told her dad, "It's just kuacis"

I felt rather bad because her dad turned away with a none-too-happy face.

We still had fun for a little while more.

Clarissa, the kuaci-eater won all of our kuacis because for the last round, we dumped all our kuacis in for the bet.

And we all scrambled back home to be on time for dinner.

We really had lots of laughter. And Sze Lyn kept on getting fortune cookies which are linked to happiness.

"Anger will make you lose 60 seconds of happiness."
"Be happy and your life will be extended along with your happiness."
"A dark night will be followed by a bright day. Stay happy."
"Love others especially the ones that don't deserve the most" - Which we interpreted as indirectly saying that she should be happy.

And Clarissa who was sitting beside Sze Lyn had this fortune cookie which says

"Stop searching for happiness, it is right next to you."

We were all seriously crazy. It's so fun to be around juniors. But I almost felt like an ancient. Imagine, we will be legally adults in 2 years' time.

We will be reaching the digit 2 next year.

This is seriously scary.

Why are we growing up so fast?? I don't want to!!!

I'm forced to draw chickens now because it will be another long day tomorrow.

p/s: How I wish that I have taken the Hospitality & Tourism course. Listening to Sze Lyn's experience working in Ritz Carlton was seriously fun. And she is so relaxed from day one until today. Unlike us mad CAL-ians running up and down and jumping around from the amount of pressure and stress that we have.

Of New Blood and Carol

At last. We have new blood for tennis players.

I'm talking about Novak Djokovic.

Not only he is hot insane, he is a bloody hot tennis player too!!

He can finally beat Federer aka FedEx (aka Fatass to me). He has been the World No. 1 for so long and it's getting really boring. Ok, I am really biased against him.

And poor Nadal (aka Fatboy) got beaten by Frenchy Tsonga. This is what happens if you get an injury. Nadal, heads up!!!

[The only good thing about Nadal's injury is that he used his recovery time to tone up. He seriously needed it.] That fella puts too much of stress on his legs larr. Of course he'll get an injury.

____________________________________________________

Alright, about Carol.

I know this junior from my school who is 24-7 laughing.

And mind you, her laughter is surely infectious. You'll just laugh at the sight of her laughing.

And she once told me:

"Debble, you know, if I were to die today and if I reflect upon my life before my soul leaves this world, I will only remember....

A series of laughters."

I'm serious. Anytime you see her, she's laughing.

And she's driving me insane now. Not the laughing part.

She asked me to introduce her to fresh new songs to listen to.

Debble : What kind of songs do you like??

Carol : Acoustic. Example, Jason Mraz.

Debble : (scratches head) Ok. You sure don't like Rock. [Which is a problem for me because most of my songs are rock!!] Maybe you can try
Jon McLaughlin.

Carol : Ok.

After a while...

Carol : You know, I
can't seem to remember Jon McLaughlin's songs after listening to them.

Debble : Well, you'll just have to push your memory power to remember it!!

Carol : Just say that you absolutely LURRRVE Jon McLaughlin.

Debble : His songs are great. His lyrics are meaningful. Remember the lyrics and you'll be able to distinguish his music!!

Carol : You keep on repeating this.

Debble : I sound like a nagging grandma, don't I?

Carol :
A nagging penguin. And I don't have to imagine how you'll be like when you really become a grandma.

PENGUIN??? Why penguin??? I don't walk like a penguin!!!

Ok, I was randomly nicknamed by this bunch of juniors penguin because they have been searching for someone to nickname penguin all this while and never found the person.

And I became their victim.

But NAGGING PENGUIN??

I don't know what to say.

Rendered speechless.

Stupid Wifi

Yesterday, I had a group discussion.

From 8 am it was postponed to 9 am.

And starbucks was not open at 9 am.

So I went to Asia.

Cindy came and she started grumbling bout how dumb her driver, Murad is.

She told him not to open the car door but he dumbly pressed the button just as she said it. And she said: "Murad, close the door!! " and he just dumbly nodded his head and did nothing. The whole world saw her packing her bag in the car.

Cindy said: "I wonder if he understands English sometimes."

So we fired up our laptops. And started aligning our notes.

And I passed her some documents using my pendrive.

The next thing I know is my laptop just keeps on restarting. Turn on. Restart. Before turn on. Restart. Turn on 5 minutes, Restart. You get it.

It was then 9.35 am and still no sign of Mr Dominic Yusoff. We agreed that he probably overslept. Whatmore he didn't reply any of my smses. Turned out that his phone has no credit.

We decided to walk to Cafeteria. And out of the blue from the back we heard Dom's voice.

That same Saturday was July Intake's Parent-Teacher Day.

College was super quiet. It didn't seem like a parent-teacher day. Ours was a bustling busy overpacked bee hive day for Parents-Teacher Day. [I'm getting looney.]

When we got to the cafeteria, both our laptops went crazy. Turn on. Restart. Turn on. Restart.

Cindy said that it was a virus from my pendrive. I said that it was a virus from Eilene's pendrive which transferred to my laptop and to my pendrive.

We got pissed off and went to MPH to see Ms Anne.

Ms Anne started with : "So, Mrs. Deborah, which one is your child??" Erm, it's Cindy.

Pffft.

Then she turned to Cindy. "So, Cindy??"

Cindy: Oh, this is my daughter Deborah and Dominic. [Wait, something is wrong here. Or was it a confusion of Appearance vs. Reality?? *Sniggers Sniggers* I don't get it. Why can't the word Sniggers be shown on cbox?? It's so stupid!!!]

Ms Anne said that our class is quite a good class because we have accepted each other for whatever we are. No matter how different all of us are. And I think it's great too!!! Then she told this whole story about Cindy's previous intake class.

Ms Anne, like us, [or rather like me] just couldn't stop talking. She is just so cute.

Cindy and Dom got up and was ready to go but I knew that Ms Anne wasn't finished. So I continued sitting down. And eventually both of them sat down. And Ms Anne only stopped when a parent came to see the Accounting lecturer sitting beside her.

And Cindy asked me: Why didn't you get up when the both of us got up??

Simple. Because Ms Anne wasn't finished.

So, we went for lunch as advised by Ms Anne. But we did not think about her [I think] even when she told us to because she has to sit in the freezing-cold MPH to wait for another 2 students and not have lunch. Ms Anne only has 3 students for the July intake.

Dom went home for lunch with a BIG packet of Milo swinging in his hands. Cindy couldn't find the small packet one so she bought him the SUPER BIG one.

We ended up watching Desperate Housewives. Desperate Housewives, is just SO AWESOME. Just love the way they are able to change their facial expressions within split seconds.

When I got home, I realised that while we were watching DH and connected to starbucks' wifi, the laptop didn't go crazy restarting and all.

But when we tried connecting to P1 Hot Zone in Asia and at the Cafeteria, it was berserk.

It's that damn wifi which was transferring viruses to our laptops. Stupid thing. I have never hated a wifi with such intensity before. Just this one. I still love all other wifis. Heh. Heh. Heh.

And this is the very long story of a stupid wifi.

Dusting off the Dust

My blog is really boring and dry without any pictures. So, this is a post where the pictures explains most of the scenario. [Rather than my whole long paragraph of grandmother's method of describing a scenario]

Seriously, when I came home from camp, I looked like this:

[No, I wasn't quite packaged with a ribbon]

I was up until 3.30 am the last night of camp watching 3 movies:

  1. Lakehouse
  2. 300
  3. Die Hard 4.0

If you think that sleeping at 3.30 am is bad, you should know that there are people who did not sleep at all. Simply because they couldn't find the key to their rooms/they got locked out of their rooms. But this only happened to guys. In fact, it only happens to guys.

This fella, his name is Daniel ended up with only an hour's sleep on a sofa with his head tilted up. Words could not describe how he looked like when he got up. [p/s: he is Vince's brother and he won the Beckham Challenge which was on telly not very long ago. And both his sisters now are on Amazing Race; the Chong sisters. Their family has this knack for appearing on telly.]

I came back with camp also sick. Yup. Very sick. I had high fever for 3 straight days and my parents were quite prepared to drive me to the hospital if the fever does not go down.

And also, a sprained right-hand wrist. I don't know why, but I think having long limbs are kinda bad in a way. Especially when you don't really have a control over it sometimes. I clumsily fell off the staircase with a very cute guy looking-on. Congratulations Debble. Got up with my wrist supporting me. That's how it got sprained. That's for not being able to control your limbs from tangling up.

I became obsessed with listening to music. I have a whole long list of songs by Desperation band, Relient K and Sarah McLachlan. Don't ask why.

[If you didn't realise/notice/cannot see, the background of the windows media player is supposedly my law notes. Yes, I was supposed to arrange them but did not really do it. It's called the stupid spell of Procastination for the moment.]

While going through stuff in my house, I found this handbag. I realised at the moment of setting my eyes on it that I missed it. Unfortunately, my sis was the only one priviledged enough to use this handbag. And I half suspect that she is sorta the cause of the broken handles. So much for leather bags. They are not entirely durable after all. My cg leaders used to drool over this bag

Realising the mess in the other room which is a "study room" [although noone goes in there anymore] I decided to clean it up. Before this, all of my books were in my room so there was no need to even step into this room.

And.... TADA!!! It's neat now. [After 4 hours of toiling in that stuffy room with the smell of books in the air and dust all over the place with me sneezing and having dust rash all over....] Tee hee.

[Not to mention, i got fed up somehow while I was packing so at some parts, I sorta just practised chucking stuff. Yeah.]

And the amount of baggage from all of the packing. [Not really baggage larr... We're gonna give them all away since they are still readable. Who knows, someone out there might benefit from these books.] I realised how much of rubbish I had during high school days. Seriously. And looking at my silly handwriting and the silly stuff that I used to conteng in my books. [I hope I won't look back at this blog in 10 years time and say the same thing. What a silly blog this is??] Oh well, that's how we grow right?? From the past??

Oh, and I've also realised how much of tennis balls I've got at home and how I am neglecting them. Sigh. Stupid wrist. If it wasn't for you, I will be swinging the racquet now with my dad now that he can play!!! [Then again, if it wasn't for you, dear wrist, I would have been very artistically and decorously bumping my arse down the stairs. Thank God you stopped me in time before further embarassment was due]

[psst..... don't by Slazenger balls. I don't like them. The feel of the game is just different if you were to compare it with Wilson balls. Then again, it's just me.]

A new year is coming. It's time to clean up and dust away all of the dust which have been left isolated. Time to revisit the past and reminisce and move on. [I mean dust as in the painful past which one does not want to touch]
Have you started dusting [anyway]??

Chero, Thfu, Fawr, Shix, Aight

0 My mom has zero idea about taking care of cars. It's like taking care of yourself. You first rinse the body when you are washing the car, then you soap, then you rinse again and then you wipe it dry. If there's a noise, it's like a human being having a flu or a cough. You have to take care of it immediately before it turns out to be something else worse. My mom just cannot see this point. [p/s: My stamina is seriously bad now. I had a tough time washing the car now. Dragging the cloth is like dragging a donkey across the surface of the car body. It was never like this previously]

2 Two words. Sarah McLachlan. I love her entire album, Wintersong. She wrote that song, by the way along together with her producer. She's an awesome pianist as well, and she has the most versatile and beautiful, angelic voice. Her voice is full of lustre, sonority, melody, soothingness. I believe she can reach any pitch she wants without breaking a sweat or straining her vocal chord. She even sings better than Emmy Rossum who has vocal training as well. McLachlan's voice, trained as well, is far more superior. I shall insert the few of my favourite christmas songs covered by her and her other beautiful songs. I really really love her version of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" [I think my sis suits the last line of the lyrics: "I'll be home for Christmas even if it's in my dreams"] Her song Adia saved a rapper from committing suicide. I love that song too!!! I remember watching the video clip as a kid at about 8/9 years old.

4 I shall be away for the next four days. Hence, I'm leaving you people with a greeting of my favourite Christmas songs.

6 I didn't go for the 6 hours thingy today. It's so stupid. I only had 3 hours of sleep, I dragged myself up at 6.45 am in the morning, waited at the centre for a whole half an hour, only to arrive at the centre to find out that there is no activity there today. The uncle was misinformed. I was all ready, with my lunch ready in the bag [because the food there seriously sucks], book ready, jacket ready, earphones ready, two full phone batteries. This is retarded. I had to walk back home as well only to be greeted by my grinning mother who for a moment, looked like a Grinch because she tried very hard to persuade me to not go for the talk in the morning. Why must she always win??

8 I can't believe 8 of Jan is just a stone throw away. I have not touched Chaucer's Nun's Priest's Prologue and Tale, whatmore Chaucer's Cantebury Tales. Not good. The holidays feels so short!!! I'm just only beginning to really live my life!! Not forgetting, I haven't touched Contract as well, don't even think about Econs. Blargh. Work work work work. Why is my life always revolving around work?? Even in THE ultimate holiday season!!!

And I have not packed my luggage for my camp. It's tomorrow at 8.00 am for departure.

That's why I made the numbers sound and look screwed up. Because, my life is in a current total mess now. And nothing makes sense to my brains. I even have to rush during my holidays??

This is just not right.

License for a License and A Party

The ultimate license you need approved before you obtain your driving license is:

The License of Patience

Seriously.

On Saturday, I went for the 5 hour talk. Waited and waited until I can practically rot with all the maggots before we actually attended the freaking talk at 10 am. That's not the case, we actually finished in 3 hours because the computer wasn't working. The last 2 hours was just practically dosing and chilling out. Most of us were tired, so we slept and some of us listened to our mp3s.

Another license for Patience is when this guy started challenging the authorities because he came in 3/4 pants and sandals and a round-neck collar t-shirt. The first thing uttered from his mouth: "I am a 28-year-old doctor. I have no time for this." Yea yea whatever. So what if you're a doctor, what more, an ill-tempered one?? So if you're doing a surgery are you gonna stop and tell your head surgeon when he is about to brief you about the surgery... [quote] "I am a 28-year-old doctor. I have no time for this"??

And when he lost in his argument, he said "I am a grown up man. If you have anything to say to me, say it to my face, you don't have to intimidate me by calling the authorities to tell me off." Then behave like a grown up man!!! Just be a little humble, apologise and appeal to their better nature to let you stay on for the talk!!! And look who is intimidating who. Stop using your freaking profession as a doctor as an excuse, expecting people to fall on their knees, beg for your forgiveness and allow you to stay on. And he goes on with his pompous bragging: "In all my 7 years in Australia there is no such thing as this. We wear what we want." Dude, dressing up properly is not about what you want, it is about the respect that you have for the person holding the talk. Seriously, DUDE!!!

The next thing I know is he, a DOCTOR, is smoking after lunch. What a great doctor you are, dude. Keep up the good work of killing your lungs and yourself faster so that the world will be rid of a doctor like you.

Because of this episode, the whole class was so tensed up and we have to tolerate him. And he wasted a lot of time. And the lady after that didn't have the mood to give the talk anymore. What a spoil sport. So much of patience wasted on this.

At the end of the day I was so worn out that I slept like an unmovable stone. And my mom woke up a million years sleeping dragon for dinner.

Sunday was church. I sat on the same row with that beautiful eccentric lady again. She did metallic this time. Metalic [thank God] wedges with metallic bangles and earings and handbag. And I smiled to her this time. What a friendly lady. Oh, not to mention, the message was awesome!! I'll have it in the next post if I feel like typing it.

Another lady mistook me for my sister again. Pfft. Damnations.

And after that, we went home bout 1 something. And after lunch, I had a nap. A one hour nap only and later I woke up to help my mom with the present wrappings which took 2 hours and then got ready to go for the party.

The party, was a total bore. I helped serve the food and all that and after that it was carolling. Kinda fun with the orphans. And after that I helped clean up the entire place. Poor auntie Margaret, the curry spilled all over her boot. Lol. She's quite a cool driver you see.

I was dead tired on Monday. And I can't stop cursing while I was studying the stupid Undang thingy. I was cursing on Sunday night as well until I finally gave way and went to sleep. Ah, the bliss of sleep. Dee-dah!!!

Today, I decided to go for the Undang Test. Gotta drag the dragon out of her bed. [Yes, even I have to drag myself up. I know this doesn't sound right] And I reached there at 8.10 am. I was kinda glad because there were only about 4 people before me. The next thing I know is, the minute I sat down on the chair, a whole exodus of human bodies came swarming up the place.

And guess what. I had to wait for ALL of them to do their tests first. They booked their place already. !@#>@##!@#!@#

I sat there like an idiot for 2 and 1/2 hours. Can practically grow roots there and probably grow a perfect beard, although I'm a girl. I did 2 books of the undang questions. Which means 1000 questions. Yes, call me crazy. That's what people do when they are crazed with boredom. By the time my turn came, I felt like my whole head has turned white from all the ageing. And the freaking computer can't read my thumb print.

And I finished the test in 25 minutes including checking it over twice. Why didn't they just let me go first?? What's the difference if they were to just slot one superbrain in?? [cheh wah, stop flattering yourself] And I got full marks!!! But they couldn't print my results after that. Urgh. For half an hour.

I'm going for the 6 hour talk tomorrow. Wish me luck. I need all the luck to prevent me from reducing myself to tears and begging on my knees to let me go and still give me the freaking certificate so that I can freaking start driving lessons and take the test after chinese new year.

I tell you, my life really sucks. Even more with my mom nagging:
"Debble arr, you wanna die arr?? So young already got such terribly dark shades over your eyes. You look worse than a panda"

Debble: [begging] Please ma, DON'T boil any of your herbal chicken soups. Plain ones will do. Thank you, thank you. [cross my fingers]

I shall go and snooze now and prepare for another long day tomorrow. Not to mention, I'm going for my youth camp on thursday. Aigh. Debble, lose weight fast, lose weight fast!!
